The $100k mistake every entrepreneur makes (writing this from Italy)

Hey,
I'm sitting in a café in La Spezia right now, espresso in hand, and I just watched a street performer who's been doing the exact same routine for probably 20 years.
Same corner. Same act. Same hat for coins.
It hit me - most entrepreneurs are doing the exact same thing.
Not with juggling, but with their businesses.
Here's what I mean:
The average entrepreneur changes their entire business model every 12-18 months. Day trading one year. E-commerce the next. Drop shipping after that. Maybe some crypto thrown in when things get desperate.
And every single time they switch? They reset to zero.
Zero reputation. Zero momentum. Zero compound growth.
I just read a tweet from Hormozi that nailed it: “If you want to make more money, stop trying new things. It's impossible to become world class at anything when you start something new every three months.”
Truth bomb right there.
See, when I was building my business, I watched competitors pivot every time things got tough. New offer every quarter. New niche every year. Meanwhile, I kept hammering the same system, same market, same core offer.
Guess who's writing emails from Europe while they're still grinding?
Here's what compounds when you stick to one thing:
Your reputation stacks. Clients start seeking YOU out instead of you chasing them. Your personal brand becomes synonymous with that one thing you do better than anyone else. Your systems get so dialed that what used to take 10 hours takes 1.
But it takes TIME and its HARD. Like I’m not going to lie to you…
But in order to be a high-performer you need to be willing to do the things others aren’t.
So give yourself time to build something real.
Not 6 months. Not even 2 years.
Give yourself 10 years to build something meaningful.
I know that sounds like forever when you're in the thick of it. When cash flow is tight. When that shiny new opportunity is calling your name.
But switching businesses every year? That's just a job with extra steps and no security.
Look, I get it. Early on, you need to test waters. See what clicks. But at some point and that point is probably NOW if you're reading this - you need to plant your flag and build your empire.
One offer. One market. One mission.
I’ve pivoted multiple times, but it was something that was related to what I’ve already built.
Quick reminder before I grab another espresso: When you're working, WORK. When you're enjoying life, be present. Never mix the two.
That's how you build something that lasts.
Ciao for now,
Julian
